Ancient records place Vesryn Ashmere among the greatest scholars of the Age of Aether and alongside Thane in the earliest study of the currents that move through creation.
Her work helped establish methods for capturing Aether within crystalline vessels. Even now, rare relics bearing the Ashmere name are prized by scholars who barely understand the knowledge that created them.
What became of Vesryn during the fall of the ancient world is uncertain. Some histories condemn her among the False Gods. Others remember a scholar who believed mortals had only begun to understand what they could become.
Much of her story is missing. On Talvara, missing history has a habit of returning.
“Why would the Creator place this power within our reach if we were forbidden from touching it?”
“You call it temptation because you fear what we might become. I call it inheritance.”
