Elyndor Grayhart emerged during Caelora's Age of Panic, when rumor often carried more authority than evidence. She began recording manifestations, triggers, physical effects, control, repeatability, and the cost Aether imposed on those who wielded it.
“Measure what a person can do. Then measure whether they can choose not to.” — Elyndor Grayhart
Her work became the foundation of the Grayhart Assessments and helped shape Caelora's approach to Aether: mandatory assessment and training, extensive records, and no physical Brand.
When Grayhart warned that a catastrophic Aetheric storm threatened Caelora, the Crown refused a mass evacuation. The resulting Gray Tempest killed thousands and transformed Caeloran political thought.
“No life should depend upon one person's certainty — including mine.” — Elyndor Grayhart
In the recovery that followed, seven civic offices assumed responsibility for a nation whose faith in singular rule had collapsed. From them came the first Caelorian Council.
