Elyra

The Elyrian Compact

Elyra was built by people who refused to believe belonging required surrendering where they came from.

A City of Crossings

Elyra grew where roads, trade, scholarship, faiths, and families met. Its people borrowed freely from Orenth and Caelora while insisting that neither Crown nor Council defined them.

Its oldest civic symbol was simple: three intersecting roads. To Elyrians, they came to mean: Come. Meet. Continue.

The Crossing

At the heart of the city, three ancient roads met around a public square. Markets, festivals, arguments, children’s games, and civic life all passed through the Crossing.

The Commons

Elyra had government, but no monarch and no single ruling council. Neighborhoods, guilds, merchants, scholars, trades, faith communities, and civic organizations all competed to be heard.

Elyrians were fond of saying: If governing everyone is easy, someone isn't being heard.

“You came from somewhere. I stand here now.”
