History of Talvara

The Age of Panic

When Aether returned, Talvara did not know how to live with it.

In the generations after The Shattering, ordinary people began doing impossible things. Some healed wounds. Some moved stone. Some survived what should have killed them. Others lost control before they even understood what was happening.

Across Talvara, fear became law. Aether was prohibited, the Aether-Touched were hidden or hunted, and societies struggled with a question no decree could answer: how do you punish someone for a power they never chose to possess?

“The Age of Panic did not end because Talvara ceased fearing Aether. It ended because its people finally understood that fear alone could not govern it.”

Orenth and Caelora survived the same crisis. They did not learn the same lesson.
